Hello Etsy: Inspirálva / Hello Etsy: Being inspired

Két napot töltöttem a Hello Etsy konferencián,és csak most értettem meg, hogy milyen egy igazán támogató, inspiráló közegben létezni. Hát jó.

Már a tematika, a témaválasztás feltöltött – a (kreatív) kisvállalkozások és a fenntarthatóság -, noha összességében valamivel praktikusabb mondandóra vágytam. Kisebb adagokban ez is megvolt, ám amivel többet adott ez a hétvége az az idea. Egy újfajta létezés, eszme, életforma ideája, ami maga a fenntarthatóság. A fenntarthatóság alatt most nem feltétlen a szelektív hulladékgyűjtést, napelemeket, kevesebb autót és fújós dezodort kell érteni – noha ezek mind a részei – hanem egy fenntarthatóbb életet az egyén és a közösség számára.  E fenntarthatóbb élet alapvető része a helyi kisvállalkozó, a helyi erőforrások, a lokális és globális közösség, aminek része a tudás megosztása.

Ezen a ponton kezdett összeállni bennem a kép igazán: nem feltétlenül kell széndioxid-kvótákat számolnom, vagy a balkonon biomasszát csinálnom; a helyi kisvállalkozások a helyi erőforrásokra és a közösségre támaszkodva maguk teremtik meg a fenntarthatóbb életet – elméletben.

Számomra ez volt a lényeg: erőt adott és inspirált arra, hogy amikor kicsit nehezebb, akkor is elő tudjam venni a bátorság-érmémet.

I spent two days at the Hello Etsy summit in Berlin, and it was now when I started to understand that how valuable it is to be in such a supporting and inspiring atmosphere.

I really liked the theme – small businesses and sustainability – though I was longing for something more practical. We got this in smaller portions as well, but what meant more to me is that I got an idea, a notion as well. A new kind of living is the idea of sustainability. Now dont necessarily think of selective garbage collecting, solar power plants, less cars and deodorants, but it is more like a sustainable life for each person and the community.  Ingredients for a more sustainable life are the local small businesses, local resources, and the local and global community, as well ass sharing the knowledge.

At this point I started to get it: I dont really have to count CO2 emission, or make a biomass on my balcony; in theory local small businesses and communities are those who create a more sustainable life.

This was the most important message for me: it gives me strength and inspiration to look at my courage-coin in harder times.
