Somehow I was convinced, that Lokalwear has been on the Hungarian jewelry market for at least 4-5 years. I was always impressed by its professional packaging, marketing – and of course the professional jewelry itself. It seemed, that Lokalwear has been there forever, but it turned out, that actually it exists only since 2010.
A few days ago I visited Bruna, the designer and owner of Lokalwear, and we chatted for a long time: it is not difficult to chat with someone who is as inspiring as her. First of all, I admire those who have a vision of what they want and they pursue it with creativity and persistence: from findig the right suppliers, coworkers to actually designing new designs.
I am also fascinated by the fact, that a Brazilian girls goes to Florence and New York to study fashion design and management, and then comes to Hungary and falls in love with traditional folk art patterns like Matyó, and then redesigns this pattern in a way, that was never done before.
And at last, but not at least I am fascinated by the little details of her jewelry lines, that makes you think that ‘yes, it is something that has been cared with’. And the packaging of Lokalwear jewelry is something like this: they are very nice, they fit the jewelry, and they are informative.
And one thing more. I like the way Bruna sees herself. “I am not an artisan, but someone who has taste, who can organise, who has the energy to run around. And it is very important to pick the right collaborators.”
She really inspires me. And now let the photos speak about the headquarter of Lokalwear.
