Megintcsak fantasztikus dolog történt a világban: kooperáció!
Történt, hogy Greet – aka fleurfatale – és Veerle – aka Nevousinstallezpas -, két belga ékszerkészítő gondolt egyet, és úgy döntöttek, hogy közösen tartanak egy kiállítást/vásárt Greeték lakásában, “Open House” címmel. Ettől már eleve melegedik a szívem: egyrészt két textil (!!) ékszeres összefog – azaz nem versenytársként néznek egymásra – , valmint az egyik beengedi otthonába a sok embert (ahol egyébként férjével és 4 gyerekével él). A történet innentől mégszebb: Greet írt nekem, hogy szívesen kirakná üveggyűrimet…na ettől meg tényleg lehidaltam: része lehetek egy ilyen összefogásnak. Vagdostam, sütöttem, postáztam és kiküldtem 10 gyűrűt. A vásár most hétvégén volt és óriási siker, természetesen. A hab a tortán pedig az, hogy Greet és Veerle olyan gyönyörűen rendezte be a vásárt, hogy ha a vásár előtt látom a képeket, akkor tuti odamegyek, nem érdekel a drága repjegy.
Annyira szeretném, ha ilyen valóra válhatna itthon is!

OK, my friends here is a truly lovely story. Some of you may have read about Greet’s – aka fleurfatale – and Veerle’s – aka Nevousinstallezpas – exhibition/fair called “Open House” at Greet’s house, last weekend. The stoiry in a few words: these two amazing textile jewelry makers organized an exhibition / fair of their jewelry for a lot of people.
What is in this story for me? The basic message for me is cooperation; which is not a very common phenomena among my countrymen, or at least it wasnt in the last 100-150 yrs (hopefully it is changing now, from babystep to babystep). That is why this whole story warms my heart: instead of being competitors, these two ladies cooperate, and of course with a huge success. Maybe it is not a big deal for non-Hungarians, but it is for me.
And now the topping: Greet invited my fused glass rings to this exhibition. This fact tottally melted my heart: I can be part of this cooperation. So I cut glas, baked and packed 10 rings. The fair was a success, and they arranged their jewelry so amazingly nicely, that I would have gone there – not caring about the expensive flights – if I saw the pics earlier.
